Herkimer County Legislative Summer Youth Employment Program
The Herkimer County Youth Bureau announces that the 2025 Herkimer County Summer Youth Employment Program will begin June 30 and run for 7 weeks through August 15. Youth may work up to 112 hours at a non-profit, community site during this time. Current rate of pay is $14.50 per hour.
Youth must be 16 years old by the start of the program and also must contact their county Legislator for an application. Youth may contact the Youth Bureau at 315-867-1213 to find out who their Legislator is and receive contact information for receiving an application. All instructions and required documentation are contained in the application, along with a list of potential job sites.
Applications will be processed starting May 19 at the Youth Bureau office, 109 Mary Street in Herkimer, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
