Old Forge Bus Transportation Program
The Old Forge Bus Transportation Program will be up and running for the summer once again! A daily bus will run from June 11 through Labor Day for Herkimer County youth age 21 and younger who are working at businesses in Old Forge. Youth must obtain their own jobs in the area. Some businesses do hire youth as young as age 14.
After being hired, youth will have to come into the Youth Bureau to complete the application to ride the bus and get an ID. Proof of Herkimer County residency and proof of employment are required. If a youth is under 18, a parent/guardian will also have to come into the office to sign a permission form. Applications for the bus program will be processed beginning May 13, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
