Healthy Families Program
A free, voluntary, evidence-based, in-home support program designed to help families raise happy, healthy, safe, and smart children that are prepared for kindergarten. The Herkimer County Healthy Families Program is located at Public Health at 301 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY 13350 and can be reached at 315-867-1176. The Healthy Families program offers all pregnant mothers, new dads, or new parents an array of supportive activities, ranging from resource referrals to home visiting. All expecting moms and dads are welcome to complete a referral form to determine if the program is a good fit. Enrollment in Healthy Families must begin before the baby is 3 months old, or the family is referred by DSS.
