Office for the Aging / NY Connects

Overview

Herkimer County Office for the Aging / NY Connects plans funds & delivers services to help individuals age 60 and older. NY Connects provides information & assistance to an individual of any age on Long Term Services & Supports. Our services are there to assist individuals to be able to remain in their homes.

Hours of Operation:

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm

From Memorial Day to Labor Day (summer hours)
Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Gift tags will be placed on the Holiday Tree located at the Office for the Aging, 109 Mary Street, Herkimer beginning Monday, November 17th^th.

These tags are for older adults in Herkimer County who could use a little extra holiday cheer.  The tags will indicate if they are a man or woman, what area they live in and some gift ideas.

If you would like to bring some holiday cheer to any of these older adults, you can pick a tag from the tree.  You do not need to purchase all the items on the tag, they are only suggestions.  The gifts should be placed in a gift bag along with the gift tag that you chose from the tree.  If you do not want wish to do a gift bag, you can donate a gift card from a local grocery store (Walmart, Hannaford, Price Chopper, Aldi’s etc).  Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Please have all tags and gifts back by Friday, December 12th.
